Amex Digital has introduced SP-7 Digital Frame, which comes with a built-in photo printer. The LCD screen offers 16:9 aspect ratio with an 800x480 resolution.

The SP-7 supports JPG, AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4 and MP3 file formats. The built-in multimedia card reader is compatible with MS/MMC/SD/XD/CF memory cards. It also offers USB connectivity for external storage. Users can control picture slideshow and media playbacks through the included remote control as well.

The Amex SP-7 Digital photo frame comes with acrylic or wood finish and is priced at $199.

Dell Wasabi Ultra-Mobile Printer Fits In the Palm of Your Hand

Dell has announced the Wasabi PZ310 inkless printer. The handheld printer weighing just 7-ounce is designed to work with Bluetooth-enabled camera phones, digital cameras and mobile PCs.

The Wasabi PZ310 Photo Printer uses inkless printing technology from ZINK Imaging. It uses paper embedded with yellow, magenta and cyan dye crystals. The colours are activated by heating millions of tiny thermal probes on specific sections of the paper to create images.

It can print 2 in. x 3 in. borderless color images in less than a minute. The sticky-back photo paper lets users print out labels or decorate surfaces - like message boards and laptops. Wasabi uses Bluetooth for wireless connectivity and PictBridge for physical connections. It is available in three colors - pink, black and blue.

The Wasabi PZ310 is available now for a promotional price of $99, that will eventually go up to $149.

 

Nokia Unveils N86 8 MP at MWC

Nokia has joined the 8-megapixel bandwagon with the launch of their new N86. Combining wide-angle Carl Zeiss optics and an 8 megapixel sensor, the phone has been specially designed for photography.

It offers variable aperture, fast mechanical shutter and dual LED camera flash for super sharp photos in both bright and low light conditions. It comes with 8 GB of internal memory that is exchangeable with 16 GB microSD card. It also offers bright OLED screen with scratch resistant glass, easy photo management, full sync capability with a PC and TV-out support for slide shows. The images can be geotagged and uploaded onto sites like Ovi Share or Flickr.

The N86 8MP will ship with the latest version of Nokia Maps and full Ovi integration, built-in compass, along with an integrated 3-months license for full voice and pedestrian navigation.

"People demand mobile cameras that take excellent pictures in all light conditions," says Juha-Pekka Sipponen, Director, Nokia Nseries. "That's why the aperture of the Nokia N86 8MP is comparable to that of a high-quality, stand-alone digital camera.”

Nokia plans to ship N86 8MP in the second quarter of 2009 for about EUR 375.

Samsung has unveiled Omnia HD, its first Symbian full-touch handset that can record as well as play back 720p HD video.

The phone features a 3.7 inch touchscreen, the world’s largest AMOLED screen on mobile. With a full 16 million colors and a 360x640 resolution, Samsung says it offers vivid colours and greater clarity in direct sunlight.

The phone achieves the HD video recording with the use of an 8-megapixel camera that supports autofocusing, smile detection and Panorama Shot. Video recording is with a maximum capture resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 24 frames per second. It allows basic video editing functions and play back via an optional HD TV out cable. The 16: 9 screen display with 16M colour and dual stereo speaker lets users enjoy SD /HD videos in cinema-scale quality with caption. The phone can play DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264, MPEG4, Windows Media and RealVideo files.

It supports HSDPA downloads of up to 7.2 Mbps, and HSUPA uploads at up to 5.76 Mbps. The phone has 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded to 32GB using the microSDHC card slot. Other features include Auto-Rotating Display, Document Viewer, 3D Games, Push Email (MS Exchange) and Real-time video uploading.

There was no word on pricing from Samsung.

Sony Ericsson has added one more member to its Cyber-shot phone family with . Introduced ahead of the Mobile World Congress, the Sony Ericsson C903 Cyber-shot camera phone offers a auto rotating 2.4” display and has resolution of 230 x 320 pixels.

The slim slider has a five megapixel camera, flash, sliding lens cover, and dedicated camera keys. It gives you the best picture possible with features, such as Face Detection which can find up to three people in the frame at a time, Smile Shutter which picks out beaming smiles and BestPic which snaps up to nine images in quick succession to let you pick your best.

It lets you send your pictures to your blog or view them on TV screen using TV-Out cable. You can also tag a place-name to your memories or stay on track with aGPS. Other features include Bluetooth, FM radio and a Memory Stick Micro slot.

“The C903 Cyber-shot adds a creative and stylish mobile phone to our mid-range segment.” said Daniel Sandblom Global Business Marketing Manager at Sony Ericsson. “The C903 Cyber-shot furthers Sony Ericsson’s digital camera heritage and makes capturing special images even more memorable.”

The phone will come in black, red and white colors and is expected to be available in selected markets from June.

With Media Go and the W995 the experience is as good on your phone as it was on your PC.”

The phone boasts of 8-megapixel camera, 2.6-inch LCD, built-in stereo speakers, Geo tagging of photos, Google Maps, aGPS. It comes bundled with 8GB Memory Stick Micro to save photos, video clips and music library. Users can check out the latest videos from YouTube using Turbo 3G or Wi-Fi. The Sony Ericsson W395 phone includes features like 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, 2.0” crystal clear display and motion gaming support. It also offers great music features like TrackID to find the tracks you love easily, while PlayNow allows users to download a full range of mobile content.

Billed by Sony Ericsson as their “most affordable Walkman slider phone to date”, it ships with 1GB memory card and offers dedicated control keys for managing the music. “Sony Ericsson takes pride in understanding the youth market, and the W395 is a mobile phone that caters to all their needs with great music quality.” said Alexandre Cardon, Global product marketing manager (music) at Sony Ericsson.

While the pricing details of the phone are not yet known, it is expected to be available from Q1 in the colours Dusky Grey and Blush Titanium.

LG will announce more details about Arena KM900 and its features at the Mobile World Congress.

 

Samsung S8300 UltraTouch Slider Phone Offers 8 MP Camera

S8300 UltraTouch Samsung has unveiled S8300 UltraTouch, its latest full-touch slider phone. The ultra-slim 12.7mm phone presents 2.8” AMOLED anti-scratch, anti-smudge full touch screen offering bright and vivid colours.

The improved TouchWiz user interface lets user flick through photos and navigating through maps easily and intuitively. Users can also drag widgets and place them on the screen for one-click access. The slide-out tactile 3x4 keypad offers quicker phone dialing.

The S8300 comes loaded with 8 megapixel camera with dual power LED flash, smile detection and 30fps VGA video recording. It also includes GPS for navigation and geo-tagging of photos.
