For air: Zalman VF900Cu, it combines heatpipe technology with pure copper in a single slot cooling design, but don't let that fool you, its the best cooling available even taming a 7800GT all the way down to 41c maximum load!

As for water and phase, who needs water when cooling like the VF900 is on the prowl? :p and as for phase, all kits you can readily buy, to my knowledge, perform roughly the same.

What kind of phase change cooling kits can you buy for your graphics card?

cool ill go for the zalman. Know of any supplier that might have one, or would you suggest ebay??

off question here i know, would you suggest i update me rig soon, or dya reckon the p4 3.4 is still quite sound???

The 6800 ultra is in fact a 6800gt flashed to an ultra [so not a true ultra]. Would you suggest i up the gpu core to 1.4 or even 1.5 now that ive got nice icy cooling?? What dya suggest. I know you did an post on the 6800gt. Is it myth that you can get 1.2ghz on the ram?? Whats the best potential OC?? Its XFX branded, so should take a bit of a hammering

Does it come with ramsinks?? or will i need to get some, know of any GOOD ramsinks, money is NO object.

kustompcs.co.uk carry the vf900 and it comes with good BGA sinks as for VGPU, being an ultra bios you flashed with it should be 1.4v default 3d voltage. 1.2GHz on the ram is not myth either, i can get 1.18GHz on mine and it only artifacts where the chips heat up too much for stock cooling(well over 60c, heh ). as for max OCs, id say for a GT if you get over 420MHz core 1.1GHz mem your doing pretty good. bare in mind though memory OCs are largely dependant on if you get 1.6 or 2ns memory on your card.

you need to remove the hsf on your card and make a note of the numbers on the BGA memory chips (their black squares, 8 of them)

Not wanting to dig up an old thread but I have a vf900 on my x1900xt (before it goes under water) and I can speak from experience that it is excellent, thought I would include a pic of it attached:

http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...k/DSC00301.jpg is the link for you to have a look

LOL! No thanks, It is the best thing to me since sliced bread over my stock cooler for the x1900's

I may sell it once my pc is under water however, waiting for the stuff i bought to arrive/get a refund and buy it from someone else

Stock temps are great though, overclocked and overvolted to 'max stable' (what I can game non stop with) idle is under 40*c, on load the max is less than 65*c or something, 25*c improvement over stock, the reason I have found is the poor finish on the stock heatsink.

Afraid last post tonight, 5am start at work tomorrow means my bed is called

Finlay
