Default YouTube Sold For 1.6 Billion - 05-23-2007, 02:13 PM

What do you think to that then. Google snapped up YouTube for a cool 1.6 odd billion pounds.

It amazes me how much these dot com companies are worth and yet they don't really supply anything that you would consider essential for survival

Hell Google often churns out dodgy results and the companies that use adwords must be mad Half the time you get some Far East company checking you out and then sending you an email that makes no sense offering to manufacturer you iPods at rock bottom prices

Still these companies go from 0 to billion in just a few years. What makes sites such as YouTube, eBay and Google so popular. Answers on a postcard to: Old Git Business Ideas, Make me rich, Easy life avenue, Cayman Islands.

You Tube is great. No wonder Google were keen to purchase it.
Just think of the adsense revenue.

YouTube gets lots of visitors and there has to be someway that they will be able to make big money on it. At the same time they are going to have big problems with copyright issues. Viacom is currently one company trying to sue YouTube.
