Default Maximum CPU Temperature Guide - 04-16-2007, 09:41 AM

Want to know what your maximum CPU temperature is? Use this list to quickly find out the maximum CPU temperature your PC is able to run at. Please note these are maximum temperatures under load conditions and you should always try to keep your CPU well below these specifications.

To monitor your CPU temperature you can use the software that shipped with your motherboard - most modern boards have some sort of utility for such tasks - or download a free utility called Motherboard Monitor.

You can also check the temperature of the CPU by entering the BIOS while booting up your PC and looking for an option called Hardware Monitor or PC Health. Just remember your computer will be running without load and much cooler than normal. Always check your temperatures during or after extended sessions of work or gaming.
