I'd ask paypal what's up - could be the payment was made with a credit card that's not their own... could just be the parents and all that, but..

Ahhh paypal......

How many problems i have had with them!

First of all, I had a buyer who did the whole "I didnt receive anything" routine....Paypal wouldnt even do shit, even though i had tracking numbers to prove i sent the item.... finally i went to the financial ombudsman service, where they thankfully got one of the major people at Paypal to review the case and close it.

Recently (like 2-3 days ago), They have frozen £170 and some change, plus whatever I make on ebay selling my 6mp Porsche Camera.....

AND GUESS WHAT THE EFFIN REASON WAS??

They have apparently linked my account to someone else's account which has a negative balance, so they are looking to "recover" the funds from my account.

Now correct me if i am wrong, but isnt that illegal??

This is the email i sent them:

Hi,

May I congratulate the Paypal team on doing the utmost to make sure my account is not being used fraudulently.

Sorry to note that I am being sarcastic, because emails do not allow the tone of voice.

These so called "Accounts" are not mine, have never been mine, I have never signed upto them, or accessed them.

Therefore I have followed your guidelines by submitting my financial information.

Therefore, you are limiting my account because you believe I am someone, even though I have provided Proof of Identification. All banks in the U.K require two forms of viable photo Identification upon creating a account, therefore it is highly impropable that a account can be created under a false name.

I am requesting you review the information immediately, and remove the limitation immediately.

If you do however wish to remove the funds illegally from within my Paypal account and/or bank account, feel free to do so, but there are certain conditions. I will contact my legal adviser should you remove even a single penny.

Thank You

I do a lot of business on paypal, and have to say I'm hapy they are so protective. I get probably 60 fraudulent "paypal" emails a week. They are a**holes because they have to be.

They dont "have" to be, their just retarded, i know many other online paypal alternatives, all of which never have even a quarter of the problems paypal do, and they are equally as big as paypal, if not moreso.
