"FASA Studio and Microsoft Game Studios are pleased to announce the beta for their upcoming multiplayer team based FPS title, Shadowrun. Applications are now being accepted!

The beta will begin in December with a limited number of testers and gradually increase in size over time. While the retail version of Shadowrun will feature cross-platform play between Xbox 360 and Vista, this beta will be for the Xbox 360 only. Instructions for submitting an application for the beta are below."

GRAW 2 Sooner Than Expected?

"It's looking like the sequel to the much acclaimed game of 2005, Ghost  Recon: Advanced Warfighter could be released sooner than expected.

Ubisoft, revealed in a recent financial statement, revealed that GRAW 2 may be released in March or April 2007. However, its confirmed that Assasin's Creed and Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway are expected to be released anywhere between April 2007 and March 2008.

Theres a host of improvements, including better graphics, improved weather, enhancments to the HUD and superior AI."

On Xbox 360, Xbox Live  will deliver multiplayer tournaments, including the ICC World Cup 2007 and ICC Champions Trophy 2006, leagues, exhibition and warm up matches. On PC, the same features are available and both LAN games and online playing are supported.

On both Xbox 360 and PC, up to 16-player simultaneous multiplayer tournaments will be possible, including the ICC-licensed events. Should you wish to just sit back and take in a game, there’s even a feature that enables up to eight spectators to watch an intense game of cricket develop before them."

Microsoft will offer Halo 3 beta through XBox live download

"Microsoft recently announced that Bungie Studios, the developer of the much awaited Halo 3, will offer a public beta for Xbox Live on Xbox 360 in spring 2007.

There has been a buzz around “Halo 3” since it was previewed at last year’s E3 tradeshow. Next-generation high-definition visuals; enhanced artificial intelligence; an advanced real-time lighting engine; and new weapons, characters and challenges are just a few examples of the evolution of design and technology in Halo 3!"

 
Wolfenstein Coming to the Xbox 360

For the first time, id software will be developing Wolfenstein away from the PC. id Software and Raven (who already collaborated on Quake 4) are working together to take advantage of all the graphic capabilities that the Xbox 360 has to offer.

id Software’s Kevin Cloud added that the new Wolfenstein “is really a way of redefining the way first person games are experienced.”
