EA announced its last game in the NFS series, Need For Speed Most Wanted over 18 months ago. Well...they do say good things come to those who wait, and in this case EA has what seems to be another future success : Need For Speed Carbon. Based on the same open-world framework found in the past three releases, the game seems more simmilar to the Underground series rather than NFS-MW.

Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers,
announced a long-term worldwide licensing agreement with Touchstone
Television to develop and publish a video game based on the Emmy
Award-winning television series ‘Lost.' Developed by Ubisoft's
award-winning Montréal studio and scheduled to hit retail shelves
worldwide in 2007, the game will be offered for home and portable
consoles as well as PCs.
"We are delighted to work with Bryan
Burk, one of the biggest producers in Hollywood and with Touchstone
Television," said Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft. "That they have
chosen us for the adaptation of the cult series ‘Lost' is the best
homage that a producer can make to the creativity of Ubisoft."
"This
deal is another example of how truly powerful the ‘Lost' brand is,"
said Bruce Gersh, senior vice president, business development, ABC
Entertainment and Touchstone Television. "We are excited to work

Thanks to everybody who took part in the 'Best Beer For LAN Parties' mag poll survey. We listed green tea as an option for best drink and were amazed at the response it generated. Over 43% of you voted for Green Tea as the number one drink at LAN parties. The traditional main stay of any party, beer, was voted out in favour of the energising and refreshing tea drink. The closet rival, Grolsch beer, picked up at mere 15% of the votes.

Remember System Shock 2 for the PC. If you do, you will be pleased to hear the original developers have joined forces to bring you a new game, this time underwater. Games Radar got to swim around the game. Snorkles are optional!
"Trapped deep beneath the ocean in Rapture, BioShock's wrecked subterranean city. Your primary concern is survival; your second is escape. These brand new screens showcase the game's crumbling, Art-Deco styling, and we've had our own guided tour of the action to see how it all comes together."

Gamezone pick their best games, booths, suprises and disappointments from the recent E3 show.
The biggest playable surprise for me at E3 this year was Heavenly Sword. At face value it looks like your average action title with pretty graphics and flashy cutscenes. Once you play it, however, you realize that those cutscenes were not cutscenes – they were clips right out of the real-time fights.
