New Trailer shows us Age of Conan's combat

Head Slicing Galore
A new trailer of Conan the Barbarian gives us a hint of the promised brutality and visceral combat in THQ's action-adventure. This is one of the first titles to take advantage of the new direct x10 API and it is shaping up very well. Sadly the video suggests the game won't be ready until early 2008.

Running for just under a minute, the available trailer shows us, among other things, the fantasy hero's flamboyant fighting moves along with lots of spurting blood and head severing (this game is not going to be for the faint of heart). Conan's a mean, keen, slicing machine!

Epic brutality, sheer evil and visceral combat. That's what THQ's promising for its recently announced Conan game, which can be seen in action in our video player.

Todd Hollenshead battles Pirates

While it may not be as exciting as, say, a ninja/pirate match up, piracy of PC games is serious business. Hollenshead even mentions the drastic method of abandoning PC altogether as a gaming sphere. Click through for the details.

GDC: Lost Planet creator disses Clover

Keiji Inafune airs out Capcom's dirty laundry and has some harsh words to say to the company's former development team.

"Perhaps I might get into trouble if I say this in front of people from the mass media. Games are not a work of art. It's actually a product. If we think of it as a work of art, then... when we think about Picasso and Van Gogh's paintings, the end result is beauty, so it doesn't matter if you sell it or not. However for games, it's a product. It is a commodity. The producer has to think about that."

Major League Baseball 2K7 (XB360, PS3) ZTGameDomain.com Review

(Quote From Review) "When 2K Sports released their MLB franchise last year for the Xbox 360 it suffered from the common issues that come with jumping to a new generation platform. While the most obvious problem came from the disappointing visuals there were also a host of bugs and glitches that really brought down the overall experience; what a difference a year makes. With the release of Major League Baseball 2K7 2K Sports has crafted a much better product that stands head and shoulders above the best-looking games currently on the system."

Unreal Tournament 3 Gamespy GDC Preview.

Gamespy get a first look (and a bit of hands-on time) with Epic's latest white-knuckle FPS.

" As far as graphical appeal, the game looks at least as good as Gears of War or Doom 3 with glitzy lighting galore. Judging from the level that I played (a space station sort of thing), Unreal's classic quality level design is in full effect. A large map with both huge open areas and tight claustrophobia-inducing corridors was strewn with chokepoints, cover and shining neon doodads. With strange glowing tubes and other bits of high-tech machinery coating nearly every surface, the whole package was really incredibly striking. All this, the framerate was still sky-high".
