 PC Gamer had planned a preview of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars but it was missing from the April issue due to a printing error. Thankfully the internet is not as fussy and copies of the article can be found around the net.

This game looks amazing and is currently in beta testing mode behind closed doors. Expect a release in the middle of 2007. |

An article on PSU points to a possible buy out of 2K Sports, a subsidary of Take-Two Interactive by Electronic Arts. According to the article, Wedbush Morgan Securities' Michael Pachter suggested the take over after downgrading Take-Two Interactive's stock from "Buy" to "Sell".
“It is clear to us that Take-TwoÙs sports business would have
tremendous value to EA, as it would give EA a monopoly on football,
basketball, baseball,
and hockey,” Pachter said. "It is arguable that EA would benefit by as much as $1 billion if it
were to obtain an exclusive; this does not mean that it is willing to
pay $1 billion.”
"We think that Take-TwoÙs flagship franchise, Grand Theft Auto, will
continue to generate significant profits but are less optimistic about
the profit potential from its sports business and from 'everything
else,'" Pachter wrote.
Given the sale is inevitable, its highly unlikely to see any publisher compete with EA since they have established a huge presence in the market and are the leading publisher of sports titles like FIFA and Cricket. This purchase gives EA a monopoly in this segment. It is estimated that Electronic Arts might
purchase 2K for around $200 million dollars. |

Ubisoft released a number of new images, artworks and videos of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 tonight. The much awaited sequel is expected to be released next month and a demo is already available on Xbox 360.
Improvements over the earlier version include Cross Com 2.0, an update of the networked battlefield system seen in the first part. There are numerous AI improvements and also multiple routes through the levels offered in GRAW2 prompt the player to make the most of the increased power of Cross Com 2.0. And of course, there a loads of visual improvements as well.
Now on to the most interesting part, here are the links to the videos. All four videos are 720p and are uploaded to Rapidshare. You will be surprised at the level of detail in the explosions after seeing these videos.

The eagerly awaited next generation from the makers of Far Cry is now set for release sometime in March 2007. Originally planned for release at the same time as Vista, the date slipped back for extra development time by Crytek. Rumour has it the game is so good, Crytek could have released now but decided to spend some time polishing and testing to make it absolutely perfect.

Atari and Pipeworks Software are teaming up to bring Godzilla: Unleashed to Wii. The game is making its debut on Wii, complete with Wiimote/nunchuck control of the giant creatures.
Godzilla: Unleashed is a fighting game on a giant scale. The game stars the legendary Godzilla and a slew of the most renowned monsters of all-time. Gamers are challenged to ultimately save the planet from mayhem and destruction. Set in urban arenas, Godzilla: Unleashed's interactive 3D cityscapes, big destructible buildings, soaring skyscrapers and towering alien formations provide the backdrop to epic worldwide destruction.
The game takes advantage of the separate controllers, with the Wiimote being utilized for attacks, and the nunchuk taking care of movement, allowing players to use multiple attacks and move simultaneously.
"Godzilla can be walking in one direction, attacking with his claws in another, firing his weapon in a third direction, and swinging his tail at a rear target all at the same time."
"Players will claw, kick, stomp, throw and blast their way through
the streets of major world cities in order to claim the ultimate,
beastly title: King of the Monsters... In Godzilla: Unleashed for the
Wii, players will tap into their inner monster powers when using the
system's wireless, motion-sensing controller," said Rick Mehler,
Director of Marketing at Atari.
The game is set to launch at the end of this year and will also be available on the PSP and the DS.

The demo of the much awaited Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (GRAW 2) for Xbox 360 is available now. The demo can be downloaded from Xbox Live in all regions. Xbox Live Gold members can download the demo for free. This size of this demo is about 625 MB.

Midway has finally announced that they're bringing Epic's much awaited shooter, Unreal Tournament 2007 to the Xbox 360; but it will be called Unreal Tournament 3. This ain't any surprise, but its good to hear from the official sources.

Who said Wii is only for kids and oldies? Think again. There are already two adult-rated games announced for the Wii, and now Mr. Montana set his eye on the Wii. Yeah thats true guys, a port of Scarface: The World Is Yours is in the making.
Gaming mag, NGamer has revealed that Scarface is set for release on the Wii. The game was released on the PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox late last year.
According to the Nintendo magazine the game will be a direct port of the console versions, except with a few Wii inclusions.
You'll be able to wave your chainsaw around with the Wii Remote and the speaker will even sound like a saw, so you can really feel that execution. In fact the magazine claims it'll be more on the lines of Ubisoft's Red Steel.
The game isn't really a great success, but I enjoyed playing it quite a bit and you can check out my review here.

A couple of weeks ago, Bungie told the world about the Mongoose, the Ultra Light ATV featured in Halo 3. This week, they hit the web with info about two weapons in the game - the Spike Grenade and the MA5C Assault Rifle.
The MA5C is a 7.62mm rifle - air-cooled, gas-operated, magazine fed weapon designed for automatic fire. The weapon has an attached electronics suite that provides information on rounds remaining in magazine, compass heading, as well as several other "housekeeping" functions.
This rifle is obviously an mprovement over the MA5B. The MA5C features a heavier barrel with a 1 in 7 twist; a redesigned cowling to house the electronics suite that reduces weight and increases pointability of weapon; a redesigned handguard which is sturdier and provides a more positive grip.
Soldiers are very satisfied with this weapon. It performed well in a variety of environments especially given the perceived delicacy of the attached electronics suite. The general consensus is that every infantryman wants a MA5C.
The most significant negative comment was reference to the MA5C’s lack of a secondary weapon system.
The Type-2 Antipersonnel Fragmentation Grenade is the standard antipersonnel fragmentation grenade of the Covenant heavy infantry. It resembles the early 20th century Model 24 Stielhandgranate superficially, which has lead to it being called “potato masher”. It has also acquired the monikers “spike grenade”, “table leg”, and “nail bomb”. The directional explosive characteristics of the Type-2 makes it particularly suited to defensive and antivehicle use.
