Hiper continues to impress us with the launch of yet another new PC case with a tough design that is claimed will last a lifetime. A bold claim indeed as most PC components have a shelf life of around 6 months before the new improved version hits the market! Only 6 months after the launch of Anubis, the award-winning first ATX case by Hiper, now at Cebit 2008 the next strike takes place: OSIRIS (HTC-1K514-A1). Named after the ancient Egyptian god of the overworld (he will be chuffed), this case comes up with many of the award-winning features of Anubis and with a total of 20 refinements. Osiris defines a design level of its own, not only regarding the unique look and feel. The whole case is constructed for toolless assembly with an innovative airflow concept as the ultimate cooling solution: The PSU is located at the bottom with a direct fresh air intake, so the heat of the PSU is isolated from the case completely - not entirely a new concept but still a good one. On the top and on the back there are 120mm fans with 3pin plugs for connecting with the motherboard. And, just like Anubis, the modular HDD rack has the third 120mm fan on the front. Moreover three PCI air ventilation plates are also included in the package; this provides better exhaust capability for systems equipped with SLI or Crossfire. Of course Osiris supports XL ATX PSUs and all graphic cards currently available. On the outside Osiris has a stylish round shaped front. The function panel with USB ports, eSata etc. is perfectly placed on the front top side. The edges of the buttons, plugs and the front side are diamond laser cut. The case will be available in brushed black and brushed silver finish. It weighs in at 8.4kg with Military Spec Alloy and 5x 5.25 bays and 4x 3.5 bays on the inside. All yours for around $179. More sexy pics over at the Hiper Galleries.
