Sony Ericsson announced several new mobiles today including the Cyber-shot K810 and K550 and the W610 and the much rumored Walkman W880.
The Sony Ericsson K810 (shown above) is successor to K800 Cyber-shot model. The phone comes with a few software updates. The Sony Ericsson K810 will be equipped with a Photo Fix application for optimizing brightness and contrast and will also have illuminated side camera keys. The hardware functionalities have remained pretty much the same. The Sony Ericsson K810 will be available within Q2 2007 in two colors: Noble Blue and Golden Ivory.
The second addition to the Cyber-shot line of mobiles is the mid-range K550. It has a 1.9" 262K colors display and a 2 megapixel camera with autofocus, a two-LED flash and an active lens cover. It would also boast quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, a Memory Stick Micro M2 card slot, and a FM radio. The Sony Ericsson K550 would become commercially available to selected markets in Q1 2007 in Jet Black or Pearl White color combinations.
The Sony Ericsson W610 is the new Walkman mobile phone on the block offering users wide multimedia features - full music phone capabilities plus a 2 megapixel camera with auto-focus. It would have a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth with A2DP profile and a M2 memory card slot. The Sony Ericsson W610 will be available in Plush Orange or Satin Black in selected markets from Q2 2007.
The Sony Ericsson W880, the much rumored phone called the AI concept, is the next generation of the music phones by Sony Ericsson. It is an ultra slim mobile with a thickness of only 9.4 mm. The W880 is a tri-band GSM mobile with full support for 3G with video calls. It has a 2 megapixel camera, a M2 memory card slot and full support for Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP profile for listening music on a stereo Bluetooth headset. However the W880 lacks FM radio, which comes as a surprise.
Apart from these phones, the Swedish manufacturer also unveiled four new budget models. The Sony Ericsson K200 and K220 are both low-end camera phones, while the Sony Ericsson K220 and Sony Ericsson J120 would feature FM radio for listening to music on the go.

Even before Verizon Wireless started offering the Motorola Q in the US several months ago, we have been trying to find out GSM version of the phone would be available.
Well, it appears Motorola plans to finally introduce a GSM version of the tablet-style Windows Smartphone with a QWERTY thumb-keyboard, at the 3GSM show in Barcelona next week. Motorola President Mobile Devices Business Ron Garriques confirmed as much during the company's recent financial webcast.
It appears there are two GSM editions of the Q in the pipeline: the Motorola Q EDGE and the 3G capable Q2 (Q Squared).
The Motorola Q EDGE will be a GSM device with, obviously, support for the 2.5G networking standard EDGE.
Based on the picture of the device Motorola has released, it appears that this upcoming model will be essentially physically identical to its predecessor.
The Q2 is expected to be a much more significantly changed from the current one.
Motorola has said there will be be both GSM and CDMA versions of this smartphone, and these will support HSDPA or EV-DO, respectively.
Its not known which version of Microsoft Windows Mobile these phones run on (given Microsoft is releasing the new version of its Mobile OS codenamed Crossbow sometime this year).

If you remember Neonode, the company that annouced a small touch screen phone back in 2002, get ready to hear from them again! They are announcing a new phone at 3GSM, Barcelona that will take place next week. The Swedish firm has actually launched an improvised version of the Neonode, the N1 November of 2004. The phone was launched only in a few European countries but didn't quite a splash.
Now Neonode is apparently coming out with a new Neonode phone. The new phone on February 12th, and will be making its first public appearance just a few hours later at the 3GSM World Congress. Lets hope they won't disappoint us this time at least. The picture shown above is from the Neonode site which is kinda funny.

Nokia has upgraded one of it’s N series, the N80, now called N80ie or the N80 Internet Edition. There’s no hardware upgrade, only some softwares being added to the mobile phone to make it more web friendly.
The new phone includes a download client that provides an easy way to get new apps on the handset. In addition, there are shortcuts for Yahoo Go, Gizmo VoIP, F-Secure, and other programs preloaded on the device for easy download.
The N80ie also features multimedia capabilities, including a 3-megapixel camera, a built-in music player, and an FM tuner. The quad-band device also has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and PIM functionality. The N80ie is available now and costs US$499.99.

AsusTek unveiled it's first 3G enabled phone - the P735. This phone is basically just a 3G version of the P535. Contrary to P526 and its digital keyboard, P735 will not have a keyboard to him and its design will be very similar to that of P535 and features a front camera for making video calls.
With a broad range of network connectivity options such as UMTS 2100 Mhz, GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 Mhz, GPRS Class 10 and even Bluetooth 2.0, the P735 allows the mobile executive to be truly connected.

Another added function to help save contacts easily is the P735's business card recognition feature. The in-built 2M pixel auto-focus camera can pick out business card details and store them directly into the contacts section – omitting the need to carry all the business cards around.
The P735 features 256MB of onboard Flash, a 2 megapixel primary and VGA front-facing cams, 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and a miniSD expansion slot. The phone is expected to be available in March and there is no word yet on pricing. It is unknown whether this phone will run the Crossbow - Microsoft's latest Mobile OS offering.

Motorola, has announced the new MotoRAZRmaxx V6 Ferrari Challenge Mobile Phone Limited Edition.

like the Ferrari emblem on the exterior glass, the roar of the Ferrari

As an unexpected information leak confirmed, Motorola has plans for releasing a handful of new handsets in 2007. Those include MOTO RIZR Z8, MOTO KRZR K3, MOTO Q2 HSDPA, MOTO Q GSM/EDGE plus the budget W360, W205, w510, W395 mobiles.
The Motorola RIZR Z8 is an updated version of the Motorola RIZR Z6 which is already officially announced but isn't yet available. Its front camera most clearly reveals that we are dealing with a 3G handset here. The next mobile, MOTOKRZR Z3, is again an updated version - this time of the Motorola KRZR K1 clamshell. It would also boast 3G functionality with video calls as the pictures reveal.
Motorola would also be adding a number of budget handsets to its mobile portfolio - the bar form factor mobiles Motorola W360 and Motorola W205 and the clamshells Motorola W510 and the Motorola W395.
More about the future 2007 Motorola mobiles would be unveiled at the 3GSM in Barcelona this February.

Samsung is putting some serious effort in the slim phones segment. They are slimming down the slimmest phones in market today. They made the famous Ultra Edition 6.9 (aka, X820) even slimmer with the new Ultra Edition 5.9 (pictured).
The phone is a complete millimeter thinner than the X820. The V-shaped buttons make the keypad looks like the one found on Vertu phones. The camera has been upgraded to 3.2 megapixels, and nothing else changed apart from this: tri-band GSM, Bluetooth, audio/video player, TV output and 80 MB of memory with no card slot.
Samsung gave the Ultra Edition 12.9 slider a face lift too by shaving 2 millimeters off its thickness. But the features remain the same - 3.2 megapixel camera, quad-band GSM, QVGA 240x320 display, 80MB internal memory possibly with a microSD slot, Bluetooth, audio/video player and TV out.
The phone is expected to arrive in 2007 Q2.

After the success of Cybershot and Walkman branded phones, Sony Ericsson revealed yet another new phone, this time featuring a built-in TV-Tuner. What's so special about this - we've already seen phones with TV-Tuners, you ask? This phone's display uses the Sony Bravia technology which is being used in Sony's latest HDTVs.
The Sony Ericsson SO903iTV is intended to be launched in June. It has a 3-inch widescreen in landscape orientation, a 2 megapixel camera, microSD card support and, a TV tuner with time-shift recording. Noticed that, the Memory Stick is finally gone!
The phone measures 111×50×19.5mm and weighs 130 grams the phone will be available in three colors white, black and red. The SO903iTV will only be available on NTT DoCoMo in Japan.

Tag Heuer has announced that it'll also be making their own branded mobile phones. The phone will be designed by Paris-based ModeLabs, and is expected to be launched in the next quarter.
The phone is expected to be made of stainless steel and to have many similarities to Tag Heuer watches, so using this information Dial-a-Phone have mocked-up a picture. The likelihood is that the phone will be in the form of “phone” rather than a watch, but you never know!
Their mockups make the watches looked so packed with features. A touch screen (inspired by Tissot's T-Touch), built-in speaker and microphone above and below the dial, MP3 playback, Bluetooth, vibration.
