izen2

izenMobile maybe an unknown brand for many, but this San Diego based converged device company is showing some great prospect for the future. The company is introducing its 2007 phones at CES: the KRMA and the KSMT (pronounced karma and kismet).

The KRMA is a combination of a smartphone and pocket PC. It has a normal candy bar form factor with only a numeric keypad, but it also has a 2.2-inch touch screen that can be used with a stylus. The KSMT comes with a slide out QWERTY keyboard that contains a total of 39 keys. It also has the touch screen interface.

Both the devices come with a 2 megapixel camera, microSD/TransFlash expansion slot, GPS, Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC OS, quad-band GSM/GPRS with EDGE support, as well as Bluetooth, WiFi and a mini-USB socket. izenMobile will be bundling some of its services such as izenLounge, izenGuru and izenUniverse with their handsets, but the most interesting part is the 25 GB online storage account and a free copy of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 that the buying business will get with the phones!
