Engadget have some insider information on the second generation Xbox 360, codenamed Zephyr. The much rumored and awaited update to the console brings in a cooler 65nm processor, and finally a HDMI port which allows for 1080p gaming (you now know why Microsoft hasn't released an HDMI adapter?!). It also packs in a 120GB hard disk.
Its unsure whether the 120GB hard disk will be bundled with the console and also the price is unknown but Engadget says that the new console is releasing soon. We think that the Zephyr will cost the same $399 unless Microsoft plans to bundle the HD-DVD drive with the console!

Its official! Nintendo have now shipped over 4 million Wii consoles worldwide in a little over a month. What a start for the winner of the next-gen console wars?! This report comes as Microsoft hit just over 8 million globally, a figure that has taken the software giant 13 months to attain. Meanwhile Sony is taking a battering from gamers - the system, though now in plentiful stock, is struggling to sell beyond a million machines.
Nintendo originally said they would be able to hit 6 million units by the end of March ’07. From what we see as of now, its possible by all means. Basically Nintendo would only have to produce and sell another 2 million console between now and then, and with demand as high as it is and the machine being so appealing and affordable.
The Wii really is looking the most promising of all the competing systems. And while Microsoft still holds the record for fastest selling console for its first 12 months (it sold 7 million in this time), there's no doubt - Nintendo will cross this figure and will become the first ever console to sell over 10 million units in the first 12 months.

To power gamers who don’t mind putting down some spare change for better cables and adapters, a world of third party accessories are available which can provide much better experiences than the standard Microsoft gear. Microsoft itself even makes some great cabling and adapters for a few extra dollars.
To give gamers some great ideas on some of the better Xbox 360 cables and adapters on the market, Digital Trends has written an article. So make sure you check it out before you go shopping for those cables.

However it would appears as if YouTube is blocking the Wii for some reason. Here is what the Opera team had to say about this problem:
"The Opera browser on Wii does support playback of movies on Youtube. Youtube seems to have broken something tonight, however, blocking Wii users. We will investigate and contact them about it."

Good news for all those Wii owners worrying that the Wii is not region-free. Rumor has it that Datel (the console accessory and enhancement company which developed the FreeLoader disc for the GameCube) could well be hard at work on creating software to remove or bypass the Wii’s built-in region coding feature.
"All we can say at present is watch this space," commented Datel through its CodeJunkies website. "We’re working on it, and if it’s possible, you’ll be the first to know."
There are concerns over the legalities of this though because modifying Wii's firmware is illegal in the US (according to the DMCA) and for that matter in most parts of the world except in Australia.
