PS3 Firmware Update Fixes PS2 Backwards Compatibility

The backward compatibility issue has probably been the most disappointing facts about the PS3. There is lots of talk going on this problem on the web. Today, Sony released a firmware upgrade, which according to Opposable Thumbs, fixes the problem and it actually works.

It looks like many of the issues with PS2 games are fixed, and that's great news to people who want to get rid of their old systems when they move to a PS3. The Playstation Store seems to be more responsive, it doesn't feel as sluggish; pages also seem to load faster. It makes the process a lot zippier.
