The Playstation 3 is revealed at Sony's
E3 presentation - with more than a few shocks. Availability is set for November 17th in the US and the playstation 3 will be coming in two flavours (expensive and mega expensive) similar to the Xbox 360 core and premium packages.
First surprise - two versions of the
PS3, priced at $499 and $599 respectively. It's set to be released
in the United States Nov. 17. Pretty steep, right? Well let's see
what you get in the latest version of Sony's ever popular gaming
console.
A few things in both versions
of the PS3 include:
20 gig hard drive on the lower model,
and a 60 gig on the more expensive version
Gigabit Ethernet
Support for most types of displays
Features exclusive
to the $599 model include:
HDMI Port
Wi-fi
Built in flash memory reader
While nothing is technically set in
stone at this point, the details of the PS3 system are pretty solid.
Of course, the games make the system more than the technology behind
it, but I don't think Sony is going to have any issues in this
department.
The game lineup is looking impressive with Metal Gear Solid 4 providing an awesome showcase for the PS3.
Other big titles include Gran turismo, Tekken 6, Ridge Racer 7, Final Fantas XIII, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Grand Theft Auto 4, An Army of Two, Sonic The Hedgehog, Virtua Fighter 5 and a host more.
