Arctic Cooling Accelero X1 VGA Cooler Review

artic-cooling-vga

Artic Cooling are well know for making some great graphics card coolers. Quiet, reliable and high performance make them an ideal choice for replacement of stock coolers found on Nvidia and ATI cards.

The Arctic Cooling Accelero X1 VGA cooler is targetted at Geforce 6800, 7800 and the 7900 GTX graphics cards and aims to provide very low noise levels for a quiet working environment.

"Arctic Cooling manufactures a series of VGA coolers, divided into two series, Accelero and Silencer. Coolers from Silencer series pull hot air generated by the video card to outside the computer case. While coolers from Accelero series don’t do this, they are targeted to hi-end VGAs: Accelero X1 is targeted to video cards based on GeForce 6800 and 7800 series from nVidia, while Accelero X2 is targeted to video cards based on Radeon X1800 and X1900 series from ATI. We have already taken a look on NV Silencer 6, so now it is time for us to take a look on Accelero X1."

Does the OEM AMD Dual Core Processor Cooler Really Need Upgrading?

ImageTweaknews answers the question on everybodys lips, Does the OEM AMD Dual Core Processor Cooler Really Need Upgrading?

"I think the results of the testing really speak for themselves. AMD has gone the extra mile to provide the consumer with a quality HSF that is compact, quiet and cools damn well. It's refreshing to find a bundled cooler that can stand up to some modest overclocking, and do it pretty quietly."

"The VF700-Cu LED from Zalman has performed very well for me this past week and I can highly recommend it. With great looks and excellent performance, this cooler would be an asset to most any compatible graphics board out there. Installation was a snap thanks to Zalman’s online installation guides and compatibility charts, and the noise-to-cooling ratio is very good."

Zalman VF900-Cu Dual Heatpipe VGA Cooler

ImageZalman continues to innovate in the field of high performance, low noise cooling. The VF-900Cu provided excellent cooling performance and was able to do so with absolutely no noise. Even at full speed, the cooler was quieter than the stock unit it replaced, and it kept the X800 GTO almost 10 degrees Celsius cooler!
