Dell updted its XPS 710 website today, referencing a technology only known as "Black Ice". The company does not reveal anything other than a teaser image.
Sources, however, suggest that Black Ice may be a phase change cooling system similar to that of Asetek's Vapochill cases, which dramatically reduces the temperature of the systems beyond even liquid cooling.
Dell has been overclocking its high-end systems lately, so this improvement would let Dell overclock even the hottest Core 2 Extreme quad-core processors without affecting other components. No info is available about a unveiling date.
