More Microsoft Delays This Time With Office 2007
Written by luan halili

"Another new product, another delayed release."

That seems to be the Microsoft ethos at the moment. Whether they simply get carried away and release information about new products far too soon, or they really enjoy riding the wave of a monopoly I'm not sure but following the news that the Microsoft Vista release would be delayed, it comes as little surprise that Office 2007 has also been delayed.

The positive news is that it actually looks set to be released in 2007, however this is later than initially planned.

Having referred to their recently updated list of standard excuses, a Microsoft spokesman cited reason number 7 - "product performances" as being the main driver behind the delay. Perhaps rigorous testing led them to discover that there were far too few bugs and mistakes in the programs.

LG AN110DLP Projector Review at MaXit
Written by Idernejen

Does size matter? The eternal question and if you asked any woman, chances are she would say yes, if only to deflate your ego. In the land of big screen TV's bigger is definetly better. Who wouldn't want the cinema experience from the comfort of the front room. Technology is moving so fast the standard size is 32 inches with 42 inch plasmas the norm and you won't have to upset the bank manager.

But what about if you fancy something just a little bit bigger but don't want a great big 60 incher stuck in the corner. Enter the LG AN110DLP wide screen front projector. The first of its kind and a must have for any self-respecting movie buff who needs the popcorn experience without the cinema seats.  This projector is the first in the world designed to be mounted on the wall and it is only 92.2 mm thick.

After legislation made manditory hands-free mobile usage while driving, the Bluetooth headset market has rapidly expanded. Since then, a flush of budget priced Chinese imports has seen been seen. The Jabra JX10 is one of the first premium European headsets in the market. This unit is smaller than most in the industry and weighs a mere 10 grams.

Panasonic officially enters the digital SLR camera market.
dmc-l1

"Panasonic today has announced it will formally enter the high-margin digital SLR camera market. For years, the company manufactured enthusiast-level cameras in the form of the popular Lumix series. To extend that family even further, Panasonic is introducing the new Lumix DMC-L1, its first digital SLR. The new camera will be introduced at a price of $1,999 and ship with a Leica D Vario-Elmarit lens 14-50mm/f2.8-3.5 lens"

This new camera sports a unique dust reduction system that could be the key to the long standing problem of dust sticking to the sensor of digital SLR cameras. Panasonic claims to have solved this problem with a "
Supersonic Wave Filter system" which uses supersonic vibration (mmmm....nice!!) to shake of any dust sticking to the sensor. This is good news for SLR users who are worried about dust entering the camera while changing lenses.

A hands on preview of the Lumix DMC-L1 can be read at DPReview

Uniblue Registry Booster Software!
Uniblue Registry Booster Software

If your PC has slowed to a crawl, error messages and blue screens of death are the norm or your computer just seems to have lost it's edge, help is at hand. Uniblue have some nifty registry booster software to give your operating system a complete overhaul.

"Even new PCs start to slow down and not work properly with extended use. The symptoms could be error messages, crashes, decreased performance and more. Most of the time these problems are software based and caused due to corrupt registry entries or settings, bad or unused drivers and residual files. Computer downtime can be very stressful and annoying, but thankfully Uniblue came up with a solid solution for this problem. Formerly known as LIUtilities, Uniblue was founded in 1999 with the objective of delivering data protection and recovery solutions for both personal and business use. Uniblue Registry Booster is an easy to use and flexible program for clearing and repairing the registry and fixing errors."

While it can't turn your PC into a mega gigahertz monsta it might just help prevent hair loss from the OS gremlins.

Logitech G15 Gaming LCD Keyboard
logitech-lcd-keyboard

If you need to replace your old salsa and beer covered keyboard, Logitech have a LCD keyboard to impress your mates at the next LAN party.

"The LCD screen was the main thing that peaked my interest initially. When opened, the hinged screen at the top center of the unit can be used to show time, date, cpu usage, ram usage, current song playing and in game stats depending on the game. These are far more useful options than I thought they would be. I really liked seeing the details from Real Player under my currently running apps. The play, pause, stop and track buttons were probably the best feature of the entire keyboard."

We can't decide at MaXit if this is cool or plain stupid. Why on earth would you need a LCD on a keyboard? Okay, overclockers and gamers might find the extra stats useful like game stats, cpu useage but can it show pictures of Salma Hayeks boobs on demand. You'd better check out the review before we get carried away with more nonsense.
