| A keyboard made of light |

PDAs and similar devices have a big problem when it comes to writing text. Several methods are used and none is free from it's drawbacks. Sometimes is a much reduced size, or lack of proper portability, or an overgrown thumb. That's why this idea is so full of promise: a 3.5" x 11" keyboard that (potentially) saves space compared to a foldable one. All you need is a flat surface as a projection area. Don't get you hopes too high, though, because the idea still needs some refinement before it can be truly recommended. The author of the Gear Digest article expresses the situation quite well: "I-Tech's VKB is a neat little device and runs big on the "wow/impress your friends factor." But when it comes down to the nitty gritty of transcribing notes, I'll stick to a Belkin foldable or, God forbid, a thumb board instead of relaying on the VKB. I have a difficult time justifying the purchase of the unit at its retail price of $179.99."
