Does size matter? The eternal question and if you asked any woman, chances are she would say yes, if only to deflate your ego. In the land of big screen TV's bigger is definetly better. Who wouldn't want the cinema experience from the comfort of the front room. Technology is moving so fast the standard size is 32 inches with 42 inch plasmas the norm and you won't have to upset the bank manager.

But what about if you fancy something just a little bit bigger but don't want a great big 60 incher stuck in the corner. Enter the LG AN110DLP wide screen front projector. The first of its kind and a must have for any self-respecting movie buff who needs the popcorn experience without the cinema seats.  This projector is the first in the world designed to be mounted on the wall and it is only 92.2 mm thick.

Read on for our full look at this exciting new product from LG Electronics.

Price:  Around $3,500 / £2000
Supplier: LG Electronics
Manufacturer:  LG Electronics

This Isn't Your Daddy's Projector

The LG AN110DLP is the first wide screen front projector of its kind and a must have for any self-respecting gadget monger looking to be on the cutting edge of the latest technology.  This projector is the first in the world designed to be mounted on the wall, which is possible because it is only 92.2 mm thick.

The Innovative Lens

In order to make the LG AN110DLP so thin, LG Electronics engineers had to create an entirely new design for the lens.  This meant creating a lens shaped like an L that allowed for -125% - +125% vertical lens shift.  This results in a projector capable of bending light and shooting the picture across itself.  Through this innovative technology, the projector creates an impressive image with a 2500:1 contrast ratio and a picture of up to 7.62 meters.

Images The Way They Were Meant To Be

The LG AN110DLP also includes LG's Reverse Type TIR Prism.  This is a two-dimensional structure that provides 98% uniformity.  This allows television programs and movies to be viewed in the way they were intended to be seen - projecting high definition television in near plasma quality resolution.

The Extras

In addition to its sleek design and incredible resolution, the LG AN110DLP boasts 1100 ANSI Lumens brightness and the XXD Engine, which is an LG exclusive design.  This provides the user with six image controls and provides optimum viewing.  The projector itself, which is available in either white or half-mirror black finishes, only emits 24 decibels of sound when in silent mode.
