UC Babe Eve has a saturday weekend roundup for you fellas. You'll be seeing lots more of her over in the UC Babes section soon!
XFX GeForce 8800 Graphics Cards - GTS & GTX Compared
"Most these differences can be seen on
the front of the card. With the coolers being slightly larger in size on the
GTX, the only other difference between them is that the model number differs.
Clearly we can also see that when it comes to size, the GTX is much longer than
the GTS – it comes in at 10.5 inches long. nVidia say that they did their
research and enthusiast uses most of the time have the case to carry a card so
long but if you’re looking at the GTX, we urge you to make sure you can before
buying as it is really long. There are also some differences when it comes to
the PCB layout of the part of the card that we can see."

To celebrate our limited edition collectors edition of Gears of War here at MaXit HQ (you did remember to pick a copy up right?), we thought we'd leave you with some homework for those of you without a 360.
MSI GeForce 8800GTS is here - Hello DX10
"G80 is clearly the most anticipated GPU update for nVidia for quite some time now and unless you have been living under a rock, you would know why. Previous generation cards like the GeForce 7800 and 7900 series have been more of a speed increase then anything else. While we have seen implementation of new graphics technology built into them they are nothing near as major as what the new GeForce 8800 series brings with it today. DirectX 10 is going to be the platform for gaming over the next few years.
There are two sides of arguments to the 8800 series - both of which make a very good point. Those who felt that buying the previous generation top cards wasn’t a waste of money, because while the 8800 line up was coming out with DX10 support (which of course is such a major leap), how long was it going to be until we actually see DX10 technology implemented into games? While the other side felt that the 8800 was not only going to bring increased DX9 performance but also support for DX10."

UC Babe Anna (yummy) has a weekend hardware roundup for those of you not playing Call of Duty 3 this weekend
Thermalfly F1-IACSHA Heatsink Reviewed on FrostyTech
"Right now it's time to get back on
track as we evaluate the Thermalfly F1-IACSHA, a large fully copper
heatsink which combines a 63mm diameter squirrel cage fan and a unique
L-shaped copper cooling fin array. This heatsink has a couple
attributes we've never seen before in a desktop cooler. The Thermalfly
F1-IACSHA is equipped with a four-pin Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)
squirrel cage fan that goes one step further than BIOS determined fan
speed control. At the base of the F1-IACSHA heatsink is its very own
thermistor temperature sensor, taped to the top of the copper processor
block with a small aluminum sticker. The thermistor provides accurate
temperature readings to the fan, and this determines how quickly it
spins at any given moment."
