The enclosure is being advertised as the World's first One Touch Backup 2.5 eSATA & USB combo enclosure. However, the OTB feature works only with the USB2.0 interface. The enclosure doesn't require power adapter for drives below 100GB. Design
The Muse OTB2.5 comes packaged in a simple cardboard box, which contains the cables, manual, software CD - basically everything you need to get up and running. There is a USB Y-cable which connects the enclosure to the USB port and also acts as a power adapter that supplies power to the unit. The eSATA cable can be used to connect the to an eSATA port to attain 1.5Gbps transfer speeds. The One Touch Backup software comes on a MiniCD. There is also a portable pack pouch provided to protect the enclosure from scratches. The enclosure itself looks pretty sleek and stylish unlike most of the enclosures available in the market today. The enclosure comes in two colours - blue and black. The OTB button on the enclosure is made of shiny chrome finished plastic. It's ends are made of black plastic. At one end, there are two indicators - blue light for power on status red flashing light when accessing data. On the other end, there are three ports, a USB2.0 port, a eSATA port and finally the DC 5V port. |
